A Week of Recalibration …
I think I do a pretty good job of having work/life balance.
Since I didn’t get to partake in any major travel in 2023 and had to adult, I took several shorter getaways throughout the year.
What was supposed to originally be a week-long Christmas family vacation became a solo trip to Duncan Mills, California. Some of my family and a friend joined me the last 2 days of my vacation.
The Universe has impeccable timing and gives you exactly what you need. The holidays are bittersweet for me since the loss of my parents.
2023 was a fabulous year. I am thankful for a new influx of some awesome weekly clients who offer a challenge.
As I recalibrated the week prior to Christmas I was able to explore and discover new hiking no trails, restaurants, galleries, shops, etc.
For Winter Solstice, I went to a powerful ritual with a performance by Snow Raven @ the Occidental Community Center.
I also got to enjoy various forms of wildlife in the backyard of my VRBO rental (a family of deer, ducks, and a lovely Blue Heron).
I’ve decided I will make a tradition of getting away in December now. It was just what I needed to end the year on a positive note.
One love
